Florida Bug Jam Breakfast

Post by Gene-C »

I have talked to a couple of the guys who are definitely going to the Bug Jam. We are going to meet at the Village Inn for breakfast at 8:00 am. We have to meet early since some of them have to get their buggies into the show early in the morning. We would like to have as many of the Florida buggy people (and any others interested) at the breakfast as possible. Among other things we will probably discuss another Florida get together and your input would be welcomed. A show of hands would be nice so we can make reservations if we need to. The restaurant address as I got it off of the internet. Village Inn 12880 U.S. Hwy. 301 Dade City, FL 33525 352-521-6601 Image

I will be there! Looks like we are going to have to get up before breakfast to get there by 8 am. It is about 1 1/2 hours south of me. I will be picking up a buddy in Wildwood - Interstate 75 at Hwy 44 (Chuck, that is where the Chrome Shop is) about 7am. If anyone wants a ride from there, I can haul two more in my Pick up, and have plenty of room for treasure coming back! I really look forward to seeing everyone!

Whats after breakfast?

If I can't get to the show until 10am, where should I hunt for the buggy group? I will be wearing a Manxclub shirt. I sure wish Manx shirts came in kids small for my son. That would be cool. I could bring the buggy body up in my single cab, or my small trailer behind the Jetta. But that wouldn't quite feel the same as driving one. Another thing, I had a great talk with Ken Fisher yesterday. I may humble myself into having him shorten the pan, and make a roll cage tied in for stiffness. He had a manx clone in the air for a full assembly for a local owner. He was pretty excited about my unbuilt manx body. My wife would love the chassis, and body away for a month or so.

Weather permiting I will be there. It is a three hour drive in the buggy/ (Leave at 5am?!?! ) If I am not there by 8 for breakfast I have Jims Direct connect # still on my Nextel, I'll call in at 8 if I have a signal, or call later for an update. Count me in on another camping trip if I have the weekend free. Chuck, somehow I've lost your numbers.

Hey Tony, I imagine I will probably be hanging out around Don and Dave's buggies, (red Allison and yellow siggy) when not wandering. Hopefully they will put all the buggies in the same area this year. I'll keep an eye out for you. Chuck

Seven confirmed for breakfast. The Village Inn said the more the merrier. They have plenty of room for us.
