Hypothetically: If I wanted to buy a new Kickout and have it

We've been pondering on the idea of buying a new TKO. My wife and I really like the look after seeing it in person. As the saying goes, you never have too many buggies! lol The real problem is getting it shipped to Canada. I've contacted Stewart Transport, they are used by Bruce I believe and they quoted me $1,900 (3,000 miles) but will not cross the border. This means I would need to find a holding facility in upper New York and coordinate a personal pickup from there. I have a trucker friend who may be willing to help but his rig is an open flat bed 53" trailer and he would have to combine this pickup with an existing trip. Timming may be a problem as well as having the body on a flat bed trailer may not be the safest way to get it shipped either. I considered offering my brother $100 to do the trip in a rented cube truck but not sure I can trust him. lol If we are going to go ahead and start a new buggy build, I was considering getting a Berrien chassis. I wonder if they would be accomodating in receiving the body? We have a Canadian retailer for Berrien in Canada that imports from Berrien. Perhaps I could see if that would be an option but it's still a lot of coordinations and doubt that Berrien would consider holding a competetive product for me. We're willing to pay what it costs for shipping but at this time, we feel we don't have many workable options. Anybody got some good ideas to help us Canadians out now that we are all friends?! lol Thanks in advance. Vincent & France
