Lake Tahoe Sept 7-9

Post by BuggyBob »

Hey everybody, The Sierra Nevada Glass Buggies will be hosting the Lake Tahoe Buggy Run Sept 7-9 at Camp Richardson. Saturdays runs will leave the camp around 1000am. We will be doing three runs, street, medium offroad, and difficult offroad. If you are going on the offroad run(either one) have a fire extinguisher and small shovel in your buggy. After the runs at around 600pm we will do a pasta style potluck at camp. Sunday morning we will go up to Fallen Leaf Lake look out and a run around the lake. Hope to see you there. Call me with any questions. 775-771-6428 Bob

Hay ... it looks like we're going to be there Thursday ... That opens Friday for exploring, Carol says shopping. The event sounds like this will be a KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid"), kick back, put our feet up and take in the ambiance of the Sierras in the fall ... and enjoy ... Ahaa ... I won't have to spend the weekend before prepping for show-n-shine ... just go and enjoy and have fun, visit with old friends & meet new ones. But how do you dress for a party and pot luck when the theme is pasta? A spaghetti necktie? :help: Carol & Mark

Tri Tips & Sauce

Post by Gene-C »

[I marinate my tri-tips in worchester sauce for about an hour before grilling, then wrap them in H.D. aluminum foil and cook to 165 gegrees then ribbion cut them for serving. The sauce is secret stuff, but it does have mushrooms in it! The Cabo is just an appetizer!.

Pasta Trophies

Post by 1856 »

I think we've perfected the sauce ... Now all we have to work on is polishing the pasta ... do you prefer angel hair or linguine? I understand there will be Trophies for the top three. in the cook-off.

Bob, My son, his friend and I had a great time at the run. You did a great job organizing the run and hosting the event. Beautiful country and a great group of people. I was hesitiant to make the 1000 mile round trip for a two day event, but you made it so worthwhile. We'll come again in a hearbeat! Thank you so much for including us!

Kudos, Bob, It was a great run and a heck of a lot of buggys. I just got home, spent some time in Bridgeport, and will post some photos, as soon as I can get to them for editing and comments, Again a great time. You know the ol' saying what happened in Tahoe, stayed in Tahoe, Ha Ha! Thanks for giving all of us a great time! If you want to see photos of the run check out Dual sport Buggys site and the RBC Buggy site. Posting photos on more than one forum takes too long. Sorry!
