Towd Aluminum Fuel Tank

Post by Gene-C »

Dennis Long asked me to remake a fuel tank for his Towd rebuild Came out pretty cool . We added a fuel sending unit. The original tank was made from old well casing and rusted through a lot of places. The new one weighs only 11lbs vrs almost 40 on the original. I will be doing a how to article soon. They look simple but the filler neck is off angle from the bottom bung and mounting brackets. If anyone is interested in one give me a shout [img][/IMG] Gene C #729

The tank came out awesome, too bad its covered and you'll never see it except for the filler neck. And the gas sending unit is a big plus no more sticking the tank to see how much fuel is left. :drinking: Its Toadaly Cool :D

Its built to the basic same spec's as the original, as one was used as the model, my first Towd with the original tank was a bit over 10 gallons.
