Well, just to insult all those purists out there, here is my California Dreaming Red Manx that has been re-carded to a regular Meyers Manx Hot Wheels blue card. Once I get another one, I'll let you know where I got it. Sorry I just can't have a Hot Wheels Manx outside the plastic. Yeah, go ahead and flame me, I've got my fire suit on! Image

My red "California Dreaming" Manx came seperately in a sealed cellophane bag. I won it at the Manx Club's Lone Pine run, raffle. Winnie said it was a prototype from Mattel sent to Bruce and Winnie for approval. They raffled off 3 or 4 of them. Image

Sorry Dave. Me a purist, not a chance! I say build your buggy any way you want. There no way I can ever get my old 'project' original manx like it was originally (way too many modifications by numerous previous owners). Let's be 'real'! So, this re-carded Hot Wheels Manx was a natural for me. Jerry's California Dreaming Red Hot Wheels Manx is way valuable, IMHO. Very neat! Keep it in the plastic bag, I say. Keep it forever! Play with them, are you serious? Well, OK, anything goes, I should be tolerant. Have Fun, Fun, Fun with them any way you want. ManxDave... shhhhhh, please.
I open all of mine unless I get a dup. kinda hard to playwith in the package...:x
Thats why I always have to buy three. One stays on the card in a plastic card keeper. One open one goes in Joey's car case. One open one goes on my desk. John

Yeah, my problem exactly. Never thought of myself as a collector of anything, but now I've infected my adult kids and they are looking all over the place for this kind of stuff.
yeah all mine are out. i love to race them. usually the gold wheel /gold manx seems to win.and they ride so smooth through the loop to loop!
Thats the FTE wheel variation of the Gold manx. There are three wheel variations on this gold panit scheme alone. A 5 spoke. Image A 6 spoke. Image and the new Faster Than Ever (FTE gold wheel). Image I also try to collect one of each variation. Then you have errors, I have VW new beetle with the hood Tampo upside down ! Cool. It's all good. I still need to find a couple of the FTE wheels gold manx. I wonder if the silver will be out in and FTE wheel? John
