Is there maybe a hidden agenda here. Is there a hope that maybe the club will just fade away through lack of interest, starting with more and more infrequent newsletters, carrying on thru decimating the website by making it 'members only' and ignoring BOTM submissions, cutting down on stuff available thru the store and organizing fewer club runs? Someone tell me I'm just getting paranoid!!!

Yeah BuggyBob, do you have some sort of inside track as to what is going on behind the scenes? What reasons can you give that this forum will be "stronger than before?" How MUCH time are we supposed to give the powers-to-be before changes are made (or even announced)? WHAT good things are right around the corner? Be specific, I think those of us on the outside of the loop deserve a more detailed explanation.

Hi Gary, I dont have the inside scoop but I am being optimistic. Just talking and listening to Bruce and Winnie and this forum, I can only see good things happening.

Looking back to the mid 90's and reflecting on the good ol times this club was having on off road trips back then is what made me join. An article in Trends (I think) is what started it all off for me. As Member 452 I've seen this club grow, but I know for sure it aint been easy for Bruce & Winnie. Having planted the seeds for two vehicle clubs to start up in UK myself I know its tough to keep things running strong. The task for Bruce & Winnie > talking on the phone, putting club newsletters together, deal with new & old subscribers, deal with a helpline, chase advertisers, chasing suppliers, sort out the club shop of buggy parts, apparel & stuff, get a plug & mold sorted out for all the Siggys, building the plug & molds for the Manxter,,, along with loads of other stuff etc etc etc.... Thats before they have a life of their own. Now Im sure its been a lot of fun & given Bruce & Winnie great pleasure over the years. But on the other hand, I bet they've put in many hours and have found it tough to pay the bills on occasions. Time for someone to take it from strength to strength???,,, maybe,, I sure hope so. Ive seen guys step down in the past & let club members take over,,,,,,, after about a year things begin to take a down turn as these members find it far too hard work. Bruce & Winnie,, you done VERY WELL with this club   ps, the forum is up to members aint it???

I agree wholeheartedly with Mel, and can I appologise if any of my previous posts sounded a bit negative. I love this club and really want it to thrive. The club is in a state of flux though and I just wish we were given more information as to what's happening.
