[FONT=Verdana]To all Manx Club members:[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]For the past 14 months I have been reading, and hearing that you, The Manx Club (Club) members, want to have a voice in the running of the [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]Club. [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]Some of you have been quiet, and patient, you have waited to see where the Club was going. While, others have demanded that things change [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]immediately. To all of you, I say, thank you. You have all contributed to making the Club’s first year a success. We have reached a major [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]milestone. [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]Now, all of us need to prepare for the next phase in the running of the Club. [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]Between now & November 01, 2009 the nominating committee is looking for candidates for the position of Manx Club Director. The entire list of [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]potential candidates will be presented to the Board of Directors (BOD), for certification. The list of certified candidates will then be placed on ballots. [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]These ballots and a brief resume of each candidates qualifications will be in the hands of each Manx Club member in good standing by November 15, [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]2009. This election will be for 3 Directors. In 2010 we will elect 4 Directors. All Directors serve a 2 year term, and serve on a volunteer basis. [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]The BOD Nomination Committee has until November 15 to establish a slate of candidates, and to get each member in good standing a copy of the [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]ballot, so they can vote. The membership in good standing has from November 15, 2009 to December 15, 2009 to vote, and get their ballot mailed [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]back for tabulation. Early in 2010, the BOD will announce the results of the election.[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]I know that some of you may not agree with what I am saying here. You have that right. But, please go to: [/FONT][FONT=Times New Roman][FONT=Verdana]www.manxclub.com/forum[/FONT][/FONT][FONT=Verdana] and select [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]Forum & Membership Information. Then select Manx Club Bylaws. Read & understand the Bylaws. The Bylaws define how the Club must be run. Read [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]this document, and understand how this organization is managed. Then get involved by letting the Board of Directors know who you wish to be at [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]the helm.[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]Let me assure you that the BOD is listening to everything you say or write about that concerns the Club. The BOD really wants to make the Club the [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]best it can be. Do not be fooled by those who say otherwise. This is your chance to let the BOD know exactly who you want to guide the Club throughout [/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]2010.[/FONT] [FONT=Verdana]You can use e-mail to send your questions, concerns, or any other Club related matter to the BOD.
