Z bars on a buggy?

Post by missionaviator »

Hey guys, have any of you ever seen a set of "Z" sway bars on a buggy? They are on all the Mexibeetles since they are all swing axles, and I've got a set, wondering how I can put them on, or if I should bother. They say it prevents "pole vaulting" with the swing axle tranny. Thanks.

I've never bothered with them and have always just tossed them in the scrap along with the front sway bar. A Buggy's way lighter than a stock Bug so doesnt need either IMO. A Sway a way type camber compensator would work but I've always just prefered to take bends at a sane speed; I'm more of a cruiser than a racer these days...
