Ron
Ron, I cant think of the name of those round spring clip things,,,, they push onto the prongs on the underside of the hood,,,,,, they push on OK but are a pig of a job to get off without breaking the prongs off. I would rather go with Dave's method myself. Or you could cut the prongs off and use a kind of Sikaflex black adhesive,,, fill the emblem underside with it and tape it in place. I've used a similar (cheaper) adhesive myself to bond a GRP panels,,, trust me its very strong & wont fall off or be pulled off by hand. The only way to remove it then would be to use a very sharp blade between the badge & fiberglass,,, as it stays flexi.
Thanks guys Mel you know where i can find that glue.
Its popular stuff here in UK motor factors shops, so Im guessing its real easy to get in USA. It comes in those big tubes that you put in a ''squeezey gun thing'',,, the same type of gun you use for putting sealer around house windows. Works out ?4 to ?8 per tube here,, and one tube would do many badges,, so you will have plenty left over. If you do have problems getting hold of it let me know,,,, maybe I could mail a tube over.

Ron, I used the silicone also when I mounted my nose badge and rear "MANX". They have held in place for 3+ years now. Bud
I have used clear RTV silicone to hold emblems on, never had one fall off.... Coop
I don't have the exact stuff I used, but it was clear and I had used it around a sink in my bathroom
I put a good gob on each of the pins (did not fill the back of the badge with it), pushed the pins through the FG, and then put some on the back side of the pins. Again, the badge and the "MANX" emblem have held in place very well over 3 years. I have had to pull the badge off once. I used a metal puddy knife to pry it off. I was afraid of breaking the plastic since the silicone held so tightly. Bud
just a regular clear silicone.fill up the whole back with it?
