down 476 to exit 9 i think it is. Its the West Chester pike exit. bear to the right towards Marple. It's a few miles up that road on the left. Yo will go by a big train shop on the right first.you'll come to rte 320 witha mcdonalds on the corner.not that one. keep going. you'll come to a light at Springfield road. swiss farms on the left, pepboys left and across the intersection down a hill in a center, and a car dealership on the right.you'll come up to a shopping center on your left.Newtown Square shopping center. There is a mcdonal;ds in there. i guess it may be 4 or 5 miles from 476. the other option would be to meet at the train store right off 476 on west chester pike. i would be going past it anyway as i believe dave would be also. your call.
beautiful day, chilly, high 50s low 60s maybe. clear. even more vws showed up this year. even got a bus! after we parked a guy came over and asked if we wanted to be judged. so i said if its against other vws. no. paul asks if its a special interest. no- its in modified. and dave says we don't really want to go up against $50K street rods.
then the guy remembers it was me that he talked to a couple times about how the buggies are judged. and dave tells him the mud all over my buggy is a protest! LOL- great line! so we talk some more about getting a more buggys and bajas out for a class and what it would include. but we do have an offer for next year that if we can get 10 buggys or so they would like to set up a special interest display. not for judging but we could all set up together in a beach scene. so it looks like we have a solid 4 so far. so if anyone closeby would be intrested in that let me know.got 3 buggys and an SR so far. anway. it was a nice time. we faced off against the vettes again this year and won I think!
good show of cars. flea market was smaller and alot of swap type stalls this year. but they are all chevy ford cause we're like the black sheep there - as someone told me. heheh. but we are getting a good strong showing and almost taking a whole row ourselves. and you know , everyone has had a vw so we're always fielding the questions and listening to the stories.and they have some great ones. guy came over and said he couldn't believe my buggy. said it looked exactly like one he built in mid 70s. different tailights and that was it. identical. dave had a couple guys going over practicaly every inch of his 'Meyers Max! LOL.
Paul had his original soft top this time around with the sidecurtains. looked really good. and a new sticker for the hood. he found out it was a Clipper and made up the correct sticker for it.New sticker fot the windshield too - at least I don't remember seeing it before.Cool- its near the end of the pics. And at least we were busy at the show and didn't have to watch the eagles lose. So here are the pics: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v444/ ... et%202006/

It was a nice day. My favorites were the two t-buckets that you have pictures of and the Rice and Holeman Mustang. I enjoyed how the guy started it up at least once an hour......Simultaneously brought both of my kids to tears when he decided to turn the key as we were walking by. And to think I was worried about waking my neighbors up at 7am warming my car up. That guys neighbors must hate him... Best thing overheard......"I would rather have one of these dune buggies than almost any car at this show." The guy was obviously nuts, but it is nice to hear.
