Tand K, Yeah, once I picked up momentum, it came together fast. I still have issues with the front hood. I installed super beetle wipers and with the hood down the wiper arms rub the back of the hood. tried every different way to fix it except have some wiper arms specially made to clear the hood. Bruce says he will look at it in Calico. He said that was the second time he's heard of this issue. Other than that nothing we couldnt figure out. Oh yaeh, my top dash doesnt go completely up to the back of the windshield. I have about a 1 1/2" gap.

That is what I was trying to warn you about. The fit of the dash, windshield surround, roof support and hood are all related. If you can move the roof support back a little and take the windshield surround with it, it may help. Or, you can raise the back of the hood a little with spacers, and get the windshield wiper clearance. Another option is to put a spacer between the hood hindge and the body to shift the hood forward to get some clearance. Tom

Bob, Very nice. Clean & well thought out. I like it. When I did my build, I noticed that the windshield surround wanted to not overlap the 'A' hoop. This caused a very large gap at the front side of the dash. Also caused the wipers to hit the hood. My solution was to really push the entire windshield surround assembly about 2 inches to the rear. It now forms around the 'A' hoop of the cage, and the dash fits the way it should. You should have plenty of room to do this as you are not running the cage padding on your buggy. The cage covers takeup about .75" and really make the windshield assembly a very snug fit. Joe

I worked on it bit more today. I tried pushing the bottom of the windshield back but I didnt want to push it too far. It would be a shame to crack the windshield and not have even driven it yet. Will tinker with it tomorrow

If you hit it as hard as you can with just your hand to push the bottom of the windhiels surround, you won't break anything. Except maybe your hand. It really has to wedge in place. Then you can fill the gap with the top of the dashboard with stick on foam rubber, with cutouts for the windshield wipers. If you don't do that you can get rain in there. Tom
