wiper motor

Post by Gene-C »

The problem I have is that the buggy I just purchaced is drilled out to accept a wiper assembly. The wiper assembly I tryed to put in is out of 68 and the holes are about a half inch to wide. Is their different widths of wiper assemblies for different years. Or will I have to fill in with glass and redrill.

Maybe slot the holes with a file and grind some 1/2" washers to an oval shape to cover the gap?

I found the same thing with the buggy that I picked up. My thought was to cut the wiper bracket mechanism and weld in a spacer to make it the correct width. I haven't tried it yet but it should work.
