[/QUOTE] Viper, I was stationed in the UK at RAF Mildenhall in the late 80s and early 90s, during the height of the Ferrari craze. I found a 330GT body discarded in a junkyard by a "replica" builder. I sold it through Hemmings and made about $10K. I personally saw what the UK craftsman/counterfeiters were capable of building, ie. Ferrari 250 GTOs etc., that were literally better than the original. There were actually murders involving gangs and counterfeit Ferraris. Just how sure are you your AC Cobra is genuine, did you buy it new? Intentions aside, what goes around, comes around.

It very well may be as rare as a monocoque Manx? I have researched quite a few glass buggys and don't recall ever seeing or hearing about a Fibre-Motive buggy. It's nice to have a buggy body that the manufacturer had enough pride in, to put their name on it.

At last we all seem to have calmed down:laugh1: - thanks for the post "Viper" And thanks for all the comments about my buggy - the colour is "chartuse metalflake" it looks amazing in the sunshine:D As I have said I never ment any harm or disrespect by any of my coments. Also I used to work for a company called DK Engineering restoring Ferraris www.dkeng.co.uk Now - they reproduce aluminuim 250swb bodies and chassis -now thats something to get worked up about. Now let get back to talking about all thing fibreglass!!!

Almost looks like it was sent forward in time from the 60s.

A lot fewer Cobras were produced than Manx kits, and the Cobra replicas are easier to discredit......aluminum vs. fiberglass 9 out of 10 times is the giveaway, and many Cobra repoppers have added their own 'creative license' to their kits anyway. It's much easier for a real Cobra owner to 'not give a flying f#ck' about anyone else's car anyway.....they have a Cobra after all. Speaking of that, I dig Cobras.....what is the chassis number of yours? CSX-(fill in the blanks)

Sweet ride Lee. Somehow the badge issue doesn't bother me as much when it is on such a fine example. I haven't put the badge on my Siggy because I personally think the quality of the badge is a dis-credit to the quality of the car.

[/QUOTE] Thanks Man! The Flake is House Of Kolors 'Kameleon Kolor Change' Fireball Flake. The flake itself is red, but sparkles with many colors in the sun. It's shown here over a base of Black, but I wanted more red to show, so we tried to match the base coat with a fine red/maroon metallic.

Hard to capture with a camera. Now, I just need to find some decent Manx Badges to throw on it, and I'll be golden. Just kidding, Monkiboy.
