The work on my Manx has not been as extensive as yours, but it has been fun. One thing I tried was carpet. Climbing in with the roof on was a little tricky because of the angle and force on the right foot it caused me to slip a little. Here in the North West we are know to have occasional rain (250 ...

Don, I have a swing axel and would like to prevent tuck under. I can not picture in my mind how you mean to install the wedge. Do you have any pictures you could post?

Phil Atherton

I was wondering if anyone out there had dealing with Phil Atherton back in the 60?s or 70?s. I was told that he built several (100) Manx?s in his younger days. Doe?s anyone have one? Phil and his wife Lois owned Phil's Muffler in the LA area about 30 years ago.

:D I live just outside Seattle, it only rains 300 days a year. I drive my Manx to work almost everyday and don't have any greater problem breaking on wet roads that with my Dodge Ram or Grand Prix. I am glad to have functioning wipers, electric heater to defrost the windshield and roof with side win...

I just paid $500 for a running 1500 cc single port with carburetor, distributor, alternator, clutch and pressure plate. I don?t know when it was rebuilt but the compression was 150 on all four and it runs great. I think $1500 is a little high. :driving:
