Buggy Trailer options????
A 6 x 12 flat trailer , with a ramp will accomodate a short pan buggy just fine. Flat towing puts to many miles/ to much wear & tear on all the running gear... IMHO :2cents:
I agree with Old Manx. I would also make sure it had at least 14" wheels and brakes on the trailer. The lower the trailer the better.
I tow my buggy in a 6x12 trailer. It wouldn't fit through the gate with the tires and wheels that were on it before. Now it just fits through the gate, less than an inch total clearance. Other than that it fits perfect with the gate up, however the trailer is completely full. The biggest concern is the wheel width. Sorry not the best pic.

Trailer options....
I have always used a 6x12. I had a single axel with no brakes for years. 15" wheels, and oil change ramps to load with.
Now this is the only way to fly.
It is a Rance All Aluminum trailer 6x12 with gate ramp. I can drive right on and climb off. The sides are detachable and the next time I use I will probably leave them off. My buddy is a dealer and this was a demo he let me use last year. I am thinking about buying it, it was so nice. Biggest thing is the rubber torsion axle. No springs = No bouncing and jarring. Glides along. Weighs 500lbs and loads over 2400. Here is the exact specs..... OVERALL LENGTH W/TONGUE 15' 6" OVERALL WIDTH W/FENDERS 7'10" BED ONLY Width 72" Length 12' 1" Height 18" GVWR 2990lbs TRAILER WEIGHT 580lbs CAPACITY 2410lbs TIRE SIZE ST 205/75R14 TIRE RATING LRC WHEEL BOLT PATTERN 545 AXLE(S) 3000lb Rubber Torsion TONGUE 3" SQ. HITCH BALL SIZE 2" FLOOR CONSTRUCTION Aluminum Floor Plank STAKE POCKET Yes RAMP GATE Yes TILT BED No D-RINGS Yes, 4 Qty WHEEL CHOCKS No TONGUE JACK No STABILIZER JACKS No If you buy one for the little difference in price between an all steel leaf spring model I would go this way everytime. SERIOUSLY. John

tail view......
The tail shot.... They list for $3,000 he sells them under list for $2,495. ...end shameless plug..... John

I like the aluminum trailer. Light weight = less fuel to tow. That is what I would get if you can afford it. Definately get springs and brakes. If you build your own you might look into the rubber torsion axels instead of leaf springs, they simplify the fab process, don't squeek as bad, and are easier to set ride height.
On a regular car, the car springs, and trailer springs tend to work against each other, so I assume it`s the same with a buggy suspension. I`ve been told to use rigid axles when hauling a vehical.
I have never heard of using a rigid axle. I load the suspension using the racthet tie down straps and enjoy letting the trailer suspension do all the work to keep it smoothly riding along, while my buggy sits firm and still and waits forme to unload her. Has anyone else heard of using fixed suspension on a trailer? John
