Taking it apart and re-sealing it is not, in my view a "Re-Build" no one does it, that I know of, you replace a worn out steering box with another, TRW is the main supplier.

So I guess it matters if it's worn out or just leaking,,,,,,,,,

Mine's leaking but it's in good shape. I've never thought of resealing it though. Can you get a seal kit for a steering box? Be nice to know.

They can be adjusted. There is one adjustment on the top, and another on the front. If the box hasn't self destructed yet (like ours did in the middle of a run in Big Bear a couple months back), then you can get alot of the play out. I ended up building a large allen tool for the front adjustment out of a large bolt and a couple of matchig nuts cross tightened on the end. Haven't had a chance to try it yet though since I have been working on the house remodel. One trick Pedro offered if you go for a new TRW box is to put a thrust washer or two to take up the space between body of the box and the steering arm. This will prevent the arm from rocking back and forth and wearing out the mechanism prematurely like usually happens.
