Lake Tahoe Prerun
Lake Tahoe Prerun
We just got home from spending the weekend up at the lake. The pre run went good but not as good as I wanted. What started out as the average adventurers run soon turned into Mels Wonder tour. When a couple of guys on dirt bikes stops you and ask you if you know where you are and you say "sure, I have a map" and they say "Well ok, good luck and watch out for those switchbacks up ahead, then its time to turn around. We did find some good trails but there will be some highway miles. Tahoe was about 6 different shades of blue today, so beautiful and the water was crystal clear. Cant wait for Tahoe. Call me if you havent sent your registrations in yet and you want to go. I will pencil you in. 775-771-6428

Hey Joe, we've tried to work this in our schedule and appreciate everyone's cooperation and efforts to have us over there but unfortunatly it is with regrets that we will not be ale to attend. Unfortunatly for me, I've exhausted all my holidays this year and we've looked at flights for a quick in and out but the costs and travel times simply do not work out. Both France and I wish you and all the organizors the best of luck with the event and if it's anything like the BBB event, it's going to be a flying success. Thanks again for having considered us! Take care Vincent & France

Just got home from doing the FINAL prerun. ME AND Towdude(Bob and Anita Kornoff) drove a total of 120 miles on 5 gallons of gas. The average run will take you around the lake and up to Truckee, Ca. and back with two off road areas that last about two hrs each. You wont be disappointed. See you all next Friday!
Jimbo, I will have 3 different runs for Saturday. Rubicon, Genoa Peak/Donner Train tunnels/ and the Senic Cruisers. The average run is longer but mostly highway miles, the rubicon is shorter but more challenging, the senic cruisers can go anywhere but I think they will do a loop around the lake and over to Virginia City and back. Should be a good day of buggying. I will have maps available at camp but I dont know how to post them on here. Besides they would be really small and unreadable.

I appreciate the effort you are putting into this. This is a lot of work you so we can all have fun. Thanks and we cannot wait to come up to Tahoe to enjoy the trails you have layed out.
