What is the OHMs range for the stock vw sender (So I can buy the appropriate gauge...)? Or, how do you find out what range the sender is with a meter?

Hi Sandy, welcome to the club! Dan's Performance has the VDO Cockpit Series fuel gauge that works with the stock VW sending unit. It is the only style from VDO that is available. I wrote down the ohms range somewhere but will have to dig it out. You can look online for the part number and resistance range. On a side note; The rest of my gauges were from the VDO Visions Series and the Cockpit Series fuel gauge did not match. I ordered the Vision Series fuel gauge from Summit Racing; matched the rest of the gauges, but did not work with the VW sending unit. I sent both gauges to North Hollywood Speedometer to have them take the parts out of the Cockpit gauge and install it in the Visions gauge with the matching pointer. They did a great job. Aloha!

Aloha John-I was surprised to get a response from Kauai. I was born in Honolulu (long ago...) Bought my first Manx in 1969 from Jimmy Pflueger. I'll bet it's still over there somewhere.
