March 23, 24 & 25, 2012 - Buellton/Figueroa Mountain Run
Posted: Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:05 pm
Please join us in Buellton the weekend of March 23rd / 24th / 25th for an early season buggy run.
We truly hope the weather will cooperate!
It's been so perfect up there these past couple of months and we hope the great weather will continue. (See link at bottom for photos taken of the pre-run in Photobucket)
Below is a link to the price sheet & cancellation information about Flying Flags RV Resort, which will be our base camp and meeting place.
So far it seems wide open and they have a liberal cancellation policy, so that's a good thing.
If you opt for no hook ups, the rates are really reasonable - $56.00 for the entire weekend for our 37' motorhome!
Awesome!

We will be going up Friday afternoon.
We will leave the RV park on Saturday about 10:00 a.m. for
the run, meandering through a beautiful back road to Los Olivos.
Either pack a lunch or you can pick something up in L/O - there are several places to get lunch to go.
We'll then head up to Figueroa Mountain
and have lunch at Figueora Peak.
The elevation is 3500+ feet, so come prepared for potential chilly temps.
This is mainly a street run, but there is also some graded dirt road along the way.
We did a pre-run yesterday and found a couple of "seasonal trails" – if they are open, we will take them.
If not, we will stay on the main road and come down Happy Camp Canyon.
Here's a link to the road we'll run:

On Sunday morning, there is an area we can explore Nojoqui Falls before breaking camp.
There is also a great small winery in the area, so we could head that way too.
This is not a Manx Club sanctioned event – just a bunch of us getting together to enjoy an early season run.
Hope to see you there!
