just want to share picture of today's ride. #1 Son took his twins out for their maiden trek. Lots of rocks, lots of dirt, lots of dust, but it was fun! Buggy did good...no damage. AZSpeedBuggyImage

Looks like a fun day. I have my pan almost ready, and (with a little luck) will be ready for the engine sometime next month. We should get together some time soon, and talk buggys. :hello:

We will get togeather, I'll call you sometime this week (I have your number somewhere around here) and drive out to see your progress. I'm planning on swapping chassis' this year, the bare chassis is in the garage being worked, I'm just SLOW. AZSpeedBuggy

Hey AZ, I like your top. Any idea what kind it is? I assume it is a hard top. Got any rear view pics? Hey I'm slow too, I've been changing my chassis for 14 months now. :laugh1: Should test fit body today. It's hard to work on a buggy that already runs. Usually goes like this. Me to wife: Should I work on the chassis or should we go for a ride? Wife: Go for a ride. ZOOOOOOOOOM. A great motivator is take the body off the old one then you have to get it done. Thanks

I like the racing stripe down the side. Do you mind if I copy it? We are on about day 90 of rain up here and I am about getting tired of it. Fax me some sunshine....

Thanks
Yellermanx, I bought the top from Fiberjet in Roseville CA (from memory) sometime late 70's maybe early 80's. sides that touch the body needed serious trimming to fit my buggy. rear glass is "limo" tinted glass, no film, imbedded tint. I think Fiberjet is still in business. Image Image These are couple older pictures. I'll try to get closer pictures, gotta clean it up after yesterday's trip. AZSpeedBuggy

I did the stripe years ago and never did the other side, I was lazy even when I was younger. Adding a name in the stripe would be cool, like the 65 Mustangs with rocker panel stripes. Back then, I was going to include my handle at the time, "Bullit", however, when I redo the paint, it will probably say "AZSpeedBuggy". Sunshine is on the way, I talked to the man upstairs. Mr. AzSpeedBuggy: How is the hard top attached front and back? Nice looking buggy. Looks like it gives you lots of fun times.
Mr. AzSpeedBuggy: How is the hard top attached front and back? Nice looking buggy. Looks like it gives you lots of fun times.
Tgodber, the top is attached with 2 small screws/nuts on top of windshield frame; 2 small bolts on rear deck; and the large bolts thru the row bar on both sides (same bolts secure the three point seat belt; bolt heads painted black to match top). I ran without the windshield screws once and it would let in too much wind noise, so screws are back in place. the rear bolts prevents vibration. thanks for the good words. I drive it "daily". Yes Fiber Jet is still in business. I bought my body from them a year ago. Fiber Jet Web site is simple but has contact info at the bottom.

You people make me sick, all that sun and I am stuck here in the Seattle area with a month of constant rain. My Manx in molding while driving (I drive it every day to work). Between the moss, mold, rust, pin needles, rain and mud its hard to keep it looking good. Still a blast when I mash the gas! :drinking:
