Hey all, Just wanted to give anyone interested a heads up about a trip i'm thinking of getting together. Heres some info. Never been here but it looks pretty cool. found it on an offroad site. never knew we had a town thats been on fire for over 4 decades! Centralia , PA. almost a ghost town. Take a look at the site: http://www.offroaders.com/album/centralia/centralia.htm Might be a bit on the dangerous side, but i'd guess we'd be ok in a group. any interest? maybe a camping overnight? Its 113miles fron the blue route / 95 intersection so says mapquest. about 2 hours 15 min. We have someone in the buggybums club here that knows someone with land up there that we may be able to camp at. if not , then the next town over has hotels. probably try for april/ may timeframe.

That looks down right scary!!! My air cooled motor will overheat going there. How about someplace cooler like here? http://www.coloradoghosttowns.com/

To any one who is interested in going on this trip. Spoke to Max, He is the one with land in the area. He would love to give us the GRAND TOUR of the area and do some off road riding. It would have to be an over night trip due to so much to see. He knows the ares 100% because he use to live there.

where are you from Mike ? ( philly area). If I'm not mistaken, I'm from not far from there, little town called Mifflinburg. I now live in Connecticut, but remember that when I was little. Was alot more populated back then.

Hey Mvorer and any one else, I used to live in that area and there are a ton of trails. Some go above timberline andd might need rejetting for lowlanders. :D If anyone goes there for a summer vacation, let me know, and I'll come down and show you around some!
