Wheel backspacing

I'm ready to purchase some wheels for my ManxII but can't decide on what backspacing I need. From measuring the front I can have 2" on the front of the drum before it goes past the front fender. I'm wanting the wheel to tuck in so I can lower the front without any major issues. I have a chevy 5 3/4" lug pattern but it is still hard to find a wheel with the right backspacing. I guess I could go with a 15x6" on the front and mount a 145x15 tire....can anybody help? Let me know.

I think you have to decide if you are stricly street? off road or a combo, high clearance, or?? What type of look do you want? A good off-road - street combo in the front are (narrow)165x15 4" rims or (wide) 205/75x15 with 6" rims. Depends on how much clearance you have, in the rear. I run a 30x11.5-15, with 8" rims on the rear. gives it a wide look. Also you have to consider gear ratios and what your motor can pull and what kind of performance you want from your Car. It's not a perfect world :2cents: Jimbo

Definitly going for a street rod look. I'll probably end up getting a set of Torq-Thrusts, but still need to figure out the size.
