Mine is still coming along slowly but surely!

The hotel situation frustrates me....bajavoyager has all the normal rooms locked up. The one I have for Loreto and La Paz are stupid expensive for baja

Got signed up. Using my road course number 67.

Got a room in BOLA and used Juan Carlos at bajavoyager for the bugambilias hotel in Loreto and LaPaz....the "fee" was more than I was happy about but oh well...those 2 rooms last year in total ran $126 when using hotels.com and this year Bajavoyager charged $194 8-(

Anyway, excited about it.

Emailed Mag7 about fuel and spares support unless some of you guys have truck where I could kick you some gas money and carry a spare wheel/tire.

On this thread can you guys elaborate on how many spares generally you brought...meaning spare coil, starter, etc? I will not have a chase vehicle other than my bronco buddies and they made it clear they are running to win their class so won't be hanging around to help if I need it and in years past the super duty chase has been bursting at the seams.

I'll try to carry 2 front & 2 rear spare tiers, wheels a few Subie parts and gear for 7 in my short bed truck, so we'll be packed to the gills ourselves.

I have a 1992 diesel 4x4 Ford 350 Centurion but it's an IDI not a powerstroke so it's very analog and frankly I don't even trust my wife driving it as a chase..you have to use mechanical empathy.....I am toying with the idea of doing a one week rental from National at the TJ airport for $600 and using it as a chase vehicle.....

Ps MAG7 never got back to me. I will try them again in December once they get past the B1K

Postscript -- Mag7 just answered another email (11/3/17) and said they will likely have support/fuel pricing out in early 2018 so that is great news.

Guys, I'm interested in running a traditional Myers Manx white band on my hood just like they did back in the day. Anyone have thoughts on font/size/provider/etc?

We will have a trailer with us for worst case. Driving the buggy from West Virginia to SoCal, then race, then drive back home would be a bad decision without a potential backup.

We will also have a full truck, but you can strap your spare wheels and fuel to our trailer. It will be hitting all the support accessible pit stops.

Awesome. The electrical on mine has taken what feels like a lifetime. Finally getting closer. I told my wife it had to be done by Jan 1 and its just SO hard with 2 little babies at home (under 2yrs old and just turned 3) to get the time to knock off big blocks of work.

I told my brother (my co-driver) I had a nightmare this weekend it was April and I was down in Baja alone with an unfinished Manx and it was a heart breaker.

Taking it to Penninsula Auto here in NorCal (Campbell) Wednesday to hopefully get some help on things like my steering shaft/cut/welded/etc and a list of other odds-n-ends that is beyond my mechanical experience.

Need to get it finished so I can work out the kinks before too long.

Strong showing of Manx, DSBE, replica and I think at least 1 Tow'd. Gonna be a great year.

Oh, p.s. Cliff at UMP is making me a custom air box.....when its done and I have it installed I'll post a photo......

I feel like seeing that picture of my Manx… From the prior owner that had sprayed it blue… Is like seeing your little bitty baby… And now in its current state she is almost grown up!

Really looking forward to seeing everyone in April!

… I would never use the voice function while driving to do this… But does the overall membership have access to my public album… There are some good photos… My Manx looks much different than my original concept which was going to look more like last year's inchworm

Guys, I wonder if that graphic of all of us would be a good place to post the radio channels as well?
My intent is to use the same race channel my Early Bronco teammates use 153.125
