Continuation of the works

Be thought of 2 sons of the engine towards the dashboard as the connection of the witness oil pressing of the meter and the spare thread for an account tours.
On a buggy you go to see it is simple much much more!!!

Passage in the sheath driving compartment

Image
Image

Then it is necessary to pass wiring underbody. With the tubular frame Berrien it is a game of child

It is necessary to remove all the same 57 live of the sheet steel of protection.

Image
Image

I am going to take advantage of it to put a small coat of paint on the frame

Passage of cables 5mn: it is better all the same that the beam of the karmann:lol!:
AND yes the floor is wooden!!

Image
Image
Image

It does not more remain than to stand out from the frame in the girdle to go back up towards the dashboard.

A little works renovation of the sheet aluminium steel under frame.

Here the continuation about which I spoke to you yesterday.

The idea is to have a support of plate sufficiently rigid to maintain the plate and rather flexible so that in the event of small shock that does not cause a damage
A little the spirit the plates of motorcycle
There remained to me a piece of joint of bottom of door of garage

Side view

To bore it to fix the plate at it

Image

then to bore it to take again fixings of the scout of plate.

And here is the result

Looking good! Won't the rubber allow the plate to move around a bit much? Might cause damage to the paint if it does.

you are right rubber is not a good idea. the number plate touches the alternator.

The engine found its place with a new exhaust.
There remain some completions wiring and connection of the pressure gauges.

Very nice. Looks like you have the oil filter directly to the oil pump. That will cycle very little oil through the filter as it just re-circulates the same oil over and over (the pick-up is directly next to the discharge). Not a true full flow. If you get the opportunity, you could get the case drilled and tapped for true full flow for better filtration.

When I saw the Buggy on Internet it interested me.
The look all I liked the color.

I thus learned that it came from Texas of the town of Grand Saline and that it belonged to Jimmy Clyde Davis carpenter with the retirement.

Jimmy and is his wife Donna had 2 Manx Buggies

here:

Their Buggies won prices at the time of gatherings in Texas
Unfortunately Jimmy fell seriously sick and he died on September 8th, 2015.

I thus decided to tribute Jimmy by creating goodies which would be installed on the hardtop.

I called on Rascalscats and after many exchanges by e-mails, of sketch, prototypes one arrived from there so that you will discover.

After a few months here the result.
