Good morning guys, just got a nice update from Mike.
manxvair wrote: Day 3 #166 team Tow'd, Andrew & Mike in the car, Special stage 1 was EXTREMELY rocky up hill and down hill but the Tow'd jumped and bounced over them, Special #2 All was going good until around the 107 mile point of the second stage when we hit the silt beds. When you hit the silt its like the lights went out! 1st it's like a dust storm them it's a blackout, all while attempting to drive without hitting anything. The Towd got stuck and was quikly pulled out by a sweep truck. The 2nd time at mile 114 was after 8 other vehicles were stuck at the same time, while trying to get the Tow'd out the clutch was worked real hard and was slipping . We took several little rest breaks to let it cool on our way to the stage finish. We probably lost 2 hrs because of this. We will not replace the clutch after all just we're going to try something else.
The Manxter had GPS and tracking issues today but eventually got them sorted and both cars successfully completed the day.
We will hope to bring it home tomorrow. We are still working out the driver/Navigator lineup for the final day, I will try to let you know.

Long day aftter a short night
Thanks for all you work to share, I will try to get some pics uploaded in the next day or 2.

Mike

A few of my call outs for pictures came through... They've now reached to their contacts to see what they can dig up.

Enjoy.

I think this is what Mike meant when he referred to slit bed...

They did not make it in this video but you get the idea...
