Jerry Can Mount Addition
Hi Everybody, Today I was getting the Burro ready for a trip over the Mojave Road from Baker, to Nipton, then on to Laughlin, which is scheduled for next weekend. One of my worries about the trip revolved around the ability to carry extra fuel. I've carried plastic gas containers on my roof rack in the past, but they always slosh about and leak on top of me. Last week I found what looked like a good solution from Fourtreks.com and Offroad Unlimited. Fourtreks makes billet rollbar clamps with different attachments to hold stuff like jacks, shovels, spare tires, flashlights, grab handles, and on and on. On their website they show a perpendicluar mount that can be attached to a jerry can holder available from Offroad unlimited. Match the two together, and, Viola!, the ability to carry five extra gallons of gas on my roll cage uprights. Here's some pictures of the clamps, the Jerry Can, and the holder itself. The Jerry Can is lockable, and moving it to my rollbar gives me back some valuable roof rack space. Fourtreks makes these rollbar clamps in multiple diameters, and even custom makes stuff if you have an odd requirement. Here's some pics:

Hey Gene, Those are a really great design. I could see where they'd work perfect on the side of a Manx. Low profile and compact. I'll look forward to checking them out this week. This is gonna be a great trip!
