aAnd if it is an original VW, why is there a weld on the tunnel by the inspecsion plate and vin #.

weren't there some buggies that were sold through a vw dealership? maybe thats what they are thinking.

Even if the owners are misled, its still a nice looking buggy. I say less than 90% restored though.

Looks like a nice buggy. Someone will buy it and be very happy. I am from Canada. I thought this site was above putting down people from other countries than the good ol US of A.

I'm trying hard not to be dumb or obtuse here. I still don't see how that is not a kit. Methinks the owner has been misled by someone. Probably whoever sold it to them. It looks very Manxy.
