I have new adjustable spring plates as part of the conversion to long torsion bars (stock 69). The outside splined ends are open. This can't be good; dirt and grit will get into the spring plate/torsion bar. Any ideas for adding some kind of caps to protect them?
Thanks,
Don

Re: HELP - End caps for long torsion bar spring plates?
I have Sway-A-Way long torsion spring plates on the Manxter and they came with a plastic cap that slides over the end of the spring plate for protection.
I'm not sure, but something like this might work:

Thanks for your suggestion! I ordered the caps from McMaster-Carr as suggested. They only come in a pack of 25 so I will have spares and can help others if they work out.

Don, if they work out I would be willing to buy a set from you. The caps on my Sway A Way plates are red, and the paint I put on them is flaking off. The black ones from McMaster-Carr look like just the ticket.
