Speedometer upgrade

Well, I finally got my Manx on the road. Thanks to everyone on the FORUM for your starter help. Now I need to keep track of how fast I am going. I am replacing the dash instrument cluster with upgraded instruments. I really like the VDO Cockpit White Series. I emailed them and they were not any help. Can anyone help with how to get one of their Speedometers connected, or some other brand. I got a new Speedo cable from Pacific Customs. They also show an Inductive Sensor for the VDO unit. Or would it be easier to go old school with an original VW speedometer. What is the cut out diameter for this? I was hoping to stay at 3 1/8". Any and all help is greatly appreciated. ron,
