There's a Towd that's been listed in the classifieds that has a pretty rare item. It has a factory racing hood. They were the type of hood used on the team of factory sponsored Towds that raced in the 68 Baja. Its similar to a standard hood but doesn't have any windshield mounting surfaces. Racers just depended on their helmets and goggles. There's no blister for a speedo, no "scoop" for the wiper motor and the rear edge of the hood is taller(I suppose to hopefully deflect the flying rocks). Too bad the ad doesn't mention a tag. I've got the racing Towd at the bottom and want to get it restored for the Baja 1000 Anniversary this year.
