Team 1356 will also be using LeadNav and Spot (FindMeSpot) for backup tracking.

HEY OHHHHH! On Tuesday afternoon......for the first time in what has to be a 2+ year build process (that's what happens apparently when you have a 3 year old and a 2 year old baby at home).... my Manx finally turned a wheel under its own power! I have done most of the assembly but have a qualified mechanic and welder do stuff I can't and I got a "clean bill of health" on Tuesday.

If the NorCal rain holds off the idea is to get some off road testing done this sunday at the Hollister Hills off road area.

Hope everyone's build is coming along.

Looking forward to the event.....29 days to go!

Just throwing an idea out there.....has anyone thought about making a Manx and NORRA 2018 specific T-shirt for all of us participating?

I didn't know if there would be an interest for that or not? I'm going to make a small run of shirts using the artist rendering I showed earlier for my friends/family but wondered if having the NORRA emblem and maybe something else on a run of shirts would be interesting. Could be non-profit or profits to support the Manx Club directly?

I'd be interested in one of your shirts (XL) either direct buy or trade for one of our t-shirts (XL) :D . Hit me up if you're interested (I'm Bud)

We have had team shirts made up, both dress and t-shirts.

On the dress shirts we got permission to use the Meyers Manx shield on the sleeve:

Here are the t-shirts

Maybe I should have also asked/clarified.....am I the only poor soul that is building a Manx for the first time......maybe your guys rigs are all "well tested" and Dario I know is "battle tested".

Frankly maybe only a few of us Manx Club members are on the forum maybe the other teams are just not active on this thread?

Forums like this are less and less attractive for the instant gratification crowd :-) Facebook seems to be the platform of choice for questions/information. There is a group on Facebook called Manx Club to NORRA 2018 where most of the club teams are sharing. You might want to check that out. Unfortunately FB is the worst place for archiving data as it's here today and gone in an hour. Here's the link to the site but you'll have to request membership to it: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ManxClubtoNORRA2018/

Ah, of course and thanks. I'm not on Facebook by choice so that's unfortunate.

I keep an eye on the forum, lately I've been working on prepping the car though.

Team BNR 1356 will be running LeadNav and I’m hoping to have a custom Google map overlay @ 18x created once the course is announced. If you are running LeadNav hit up team BNR for an AirDrop of the overlay. Plan to have about 2gb of free space on your iPad for the overlay. Sure beats having to manually download the cached version of mapbox that can take days.

This is team BNR’s small contribution to the Manx Club participants.

If you have (or are planning to use) Spot trackers, please contact me and we’ll get you added to the tracking app/service team BNR has created to provide backup tracking service to the RaceTrax provided by NORRA.
