One last question.... How does the show n shine work? Does everyone bring their buggy out, or is it just the really nice ones?

Looks like the event is off to a great start! Thanks to Mark Gruenke and Barb Thompson, we're getting our 1st glimpse of the Buggistas taking off for their run.

A few pics from the first day trail check. The morning started a little cold by So-Cal standards, probably low-mid 60's.

We had 133 buggies in attendance for the Wine Country Casual 3 event with 5 different runs available. On Saturday I led the Orange(of course we were orange) group 65 miles along the back roads of the Wine country up to Pismo Beach, since I was driving I didn't get many pictures so I "borrowed" some from others, after a fuel, bathroom stop we arrived at the Beach and David Barrett of Manxchassis.com decided to sponsor the group going onto the beach. Pismo is a state park so there was a $5 fee per vehicle, we had 39 buggies and 1 passenger vehicle(newborn club member on board) The sky was clear but air temps required a sweatshirt, on the beach the wind was blowing so it was a little cooler. We had lunch on the beach and some members ventured out into the dunes, of course when it was time to head back there were a couple of stuck buggies, an additional one got stuck trying to round up them up(Tiger Tow'd), unfortunately 1 buggy suffered an ignition problem trying to get off of the beach which delayed us even more(can you say Phillipe award Glenn Shaw) During a fuel, bathroom stop the group agreed we were running late and should take Hwy 101 back to camp. We arrived in plenty of time for dinner followed up by the awards and a live band playing 60's-70's-80's dancing music. I do believe some fun was had on Saturday night!

Thank you all for posting the pictures and the narrative. I really fell down on the job because there is something wrong with my pictures library. I was only able to save 3 from the entire batch!
