Kick Out Build

Post by GotManx »

I just thought I would post up some of the pics of the Kick Out build. Here is the beautiful Kick Out's humble beginning, a donor pan from a previous buggy named the "Dirt Turd". Image Image Image Image

The floor pans were pretty thin and rusty and not shortened very well, so it was decided to replace them. Image Image The fitting of the new floor pans. Image Image

Everything was painted satin black with a roll-on bedliner used for the floor pans. Image Image Final assembly of the pan getting ready for the body. Image Image I know this is just the stuff that every one has seen before so I will work on getting Kick Out related parts of the build posted in the next few days. It just takes a little while to put everything together.

Jon, Your craftsmanship is the best I have seen in a long while. You seem to have a very organized process and have discovered what doesn?t work for your process. This is the 4th or 5th buggy I have seen that came out of your garage, and they just keep getting better. Keep up the good work. Jon, As per usual you do exceptional work. For those who have done what you did know how much time goes into this type of project. I for one don't like all the cleaning and painting. Some day when I'm rich I'm going to build a buggy that just bolts together, but then they never do....... Bob

Jon, Thanks for all the new pictures. The wiring job is fantastic! When I hit the lotto I know who I'm going to hire to build my next buggy :-) Bud

The build is very impressive, a great job! What kind of steering column are you using?
What kind of steering column are you using?
The steering column is just a stock 69 bug column with the mounting that comes with the Kick Out kit.
