Hi Joseph, The only two people that could possibly have the access to do that are myself (and I was with you) and Gene Condon (who was traveling back from his son's commencement exercises from Marine Corps boot camp). As I told you this morning, Yuku may have experienced some probelms and lost the post. Things just happen out here in cyperspace sometimes. Sorry you had to repost.

Maybe so Scott.  I don't think so.  It had been there for days with Dieseldog (Joe) starting it and Louis besides myself posting in the thread.
Someone did not want something that was posted there to stay up.
An I feel that person needs to come clean.
There was nothing there that was said or pictured  that needed any censorship.
Until that happens I am going to be very caution and my not post anything again here on this site.

jsturtlebuggy,

To begin with my User-ID is: DIESELDOOG  not dieseldog.

I do not believe that your claim of censorship is valid.  There is nothing on this forum
that is worth the time it would take an administrator to censor.  This goes for all of
the users on this forum.  Unless the administrators suddenly have serious concerns
about very poor grammar and spelling. Some of us use the spell check, but most do
not bother with it.  We just let the reader figure out what it is we are trying to say.

You need to take a deep breath and relax.  I believe that if there is someone out there
who desires to do something evil, we will never see it before it hits us.

I remember getting home around 01:30AM on Sunday the 11th.  I went on line and had
intentions of updating my original posting on Mammoth Lakes 2011.  There are 2 options
that every poster has with regard to their individual post, "EDIT" and "DELETE".  When
the original poster hits the "DELETE" key, it will cause the "parent" of the thread to
go away and will take all of the "children postings with it.  I believe that this is what
happened.  There is no issue of some super admin looking at what we post and deciding
to kill what you posted.

If I offended you in any way, I am sorry.  I meant no harm, all I wished to do was update
my posting, and perhaps give you a chance for another pot shot at me.  As I said at the
earlier, "Take a deep breath, and relax".

Thank you Joe, for letting us know what happened.  I knew it wouldn't have been anything malicious. No big deal, and you just taught me something new about how threads work.  Thanks!

Joseph, I hope that answers your question, but if not, please feel free to send me an email or I can call you.

Thanks!

Pot shot at you Joe, Is that what you think. I don't think so. And what does it matter if it upper or lower case letters. Are you yelling your name?

And will you explain the "children postings" for me.

Scott, I am glad that Joe stepped up and said how it happened.

If that can happen to something I posted on someone else is thread, from now on I will start a new thread when answering.

child post = response to a previous post, the parent post being the original that started the thread. ( I knew that masters in computer science would come in handy one day.)

Joseph, I don't think it was anything malicious, just human error. He accidentally deleted his post. Maybe the admins can disable the ability to delete posts.

Oh, and I am still waiting on more pictures. Image

Yes Louis I will post some more. It was very disapointing to find the work I had done disappear after spending the time it took with the slow connection at the campground. Getting settle now from trip, pictures later.

Ed,

If I knew what you trying to say with your quote, I have a better idea of what you are getting at.

Joseph and Joe,
None of us want to see conflict between the two of you.
We all bring different skills and talents to the table but if we are patient with one another, we can accomplish much together and have a good time doing it.
I say that to each of you.
