Amazing how quick you can run when the sheep get out of the way.

It's almost time to fly out to Asheville, NC to visit with sue & Mike Hammer and spend a coupe of days enjoying the area. On Saturday 10/6 we will drive from Asheville, NC to Nags Head, NC for the week long MOTB event, after that our journey back to the West coast is planned as follows.
Sunday 10/14 Nags Head, NC to Columbia, SC 400 miles
Monday 10/15 Columbia, SC to Jackson, MS 596 miles
Tuesday 10/16 Jackson, MS to Benbrook, TX 441 miles
Wednesday 10/17 Benbrook, TX to Carlsbad, NM 422 miles(visit Carlsbad Caverns)
Thursday 10/18 Carlsbad, NM to Tuscon, AZ 474 miles
Friday 10/19 Tuscon, AZ to Simi Valley, CA 526 miles

If we are able to visit Carlsbad Caverns on 10/17 we may go for the 1000 miles and home on Thursday 10/18.

If you are going to Carlsbad Caverns, you may want to check out the tours they offer. https://www.nps.gov/cave/planyourvisit/cave_tours.htm You can book them up to 2 days before you get there, or show up 1st thing in the morning and hope they still have open spots. It is really nice to see things that most visitors don't get to see. Tom

I'm hoping the middle of the week and the off season will work in our favor. I will try to better gauge our travel progress and keep the reservation option open as we work our way west.
