Vincent,

None of us even noticed that you might wish to be there.

Has something happened to the 00 car? Looks like they are very far behind the Tow'd at this point. Great photos! Thanks for the posts!

Their transponder is offline. They were sticking with the Tow'd #166.

Day 1 ranking is posted:

Special Stage 1
Team Tow'd #166: Pos 64 (4:31:14)
Team DS #00: Pos 67 (4:37:55)

Special Stage 2
Team Tow'd #166: Pos 72 (4:29:00)*
Team DS #00: Pos 77 (4:29:00)*

Looks like Team Tow'd #166 got a 16 minute penalty for their 'creative' route to Special Stage 2 yesterday...
I think the officials have some sorting out to do.

Good news is that they still list #166 and #00 still running.

Assuming that team DS is still sticking to Team Tow'd, they have less than 25 miles to go on the last special of the day! Then they have a short 38 miles of highway before they get to day 2's finish line. Still looking strong!

Looks like Team Tow'd #166 just rolled into town of Loreto after 426 miles of hard driving. Lets hope Team Manxter DS #00 is not far from them. We'll probably get a few updates from our local publishers later tonight, communication is better in that town.

Signing out for the night.

I'm not going to lie... France is pushing me pretty hard to get involved (more) in 2016...

Donna Acord Landon got news last night that they had reached the Hotel and were still having a little problem with the clutch : ( Nothing i'm sure they can't fix. So all is good. : )

Report from our people on the ground.
manxvair wrote:Both cars completed stage 2, Mike & Andrew will be in the Tow'd #166 0950 start. Paul & Brad in the Manxter #00 1005 start, keeping our fingers crossed.
The Manxter DS #00's transponder was inoperative all day yesterday, I sent an email to Mike to let them know. Not sure if it will be working today... Regardless, the 2 cars will only be 15 minutes apart and there's a good chance that they'll stick together.

Today's stages are as follow:
  1. C31-D3SS1 - 71 mile Special from Loreto to Francisco Villa
  2. C32-D3CT1 - 42 mile Time Controlled from Francisco Villa to CD. Insurgentes
  3. C33-D3SS2 - 155 mile Special from CD. Insurgentes to Conquista Agraria
  4. C34-D3CT2 - 33 miles Time Controlled from Conquista Agraria to famous La Paz
We wish them the best of luck!
After 2 days of racing, the Unofficial Classification puts #166 in 50th position overall and 8th in its class. They don't have the DS #00 ranked yet but we suspect it's due to its transponder issues.

Just got another update from Mike:
manxvair wrote:Lots going on down here, just not enough time or connectivity to update you on everything, today is shorter day, hopefully tonight I can give you more, both teams still moving forward.
It's a race after all... We need to let them concentrate on that!
