Ok Day-2 update (ok it's late) St George, UT to Durango, CO. started early to try and beet the heat. we didn't even get on the freeway and 1 car ate a front wheel bearing, so into the trailer it went. We headed out for a drive through Zion National Park where we were told that the chase truck and trailer were to long and had to go around, we would later meet up in Page, AZ. The drive through Zion was incredible! if you ever get the chance to visit there, do it, you won't be disappointed. The next stop was the 4 corners monument for a quick photo op and then into Durango, CO for the night. The temperature was so much cooler then day 1 thankfully!

I have been asked by a few if there is anything that the S2B crew needs when they arrive in St Louis tomorrow?

Cheer leaders, cold beers and a nice welcome party should do the trick Tim!

[emoji4] There will be two Buggymeisters joining you in Missouri, Tony Meyer in "Grover", his blue Berrian around Sedalia and Marty and Dawn will be in the white and green gecko Spatz and meet in Columbia.

Barb and I will meet the crew in St Charles, MO and lead to Collinsville. There is and has been much construction downtown (new bridge, ramp removals, etc) so this should be easier.

The dinner at Bandanas my have some cheerleaders as there are a few people around here that are looking forward to meeting the S2B crew.

As far as beer...this is the home of Budweiser. Nuff said.

Cya tomorrow!

I have a "small" parts stash, and will be in Columbus Ohio. If someone needs a special part, PM me by 12 Noon Wednesday and I may be able to source it and bring it with me.

Day 3- Update; Durango, CO to Colorado Springs, CO we headed out in the morning 15 buggies strong with some very nice cool weather, we actually had to break out our jackets. We traveled along some really beautiful mountain roads through towns like Ouary and Silverton, and along the Million Dollar Hwy, some really beautiful country. Unfortunately we ended up suffering an engine failure of 1 of the buggies. We trailered it into Colorado Springs and it will be shipped home, the owner is carrying on in another buggy.

We made it to Pikes Peak just in time for a drive up the mountain, and were joined by club member Bill Loftin and his daughter Linda. WOW what a drive, what a view, what a road, it's crazy to think how fast the racers go up that hill.

Hope the buggy gods are smiling on you, some pretty lousy weather in your path.
Hopefully it passes before you get there!
Fingers, toes, and legs crossed....
