manxter rear view mirrors

Post by vwmanx »

Hello everyone,I have Manxter 34 and I need to replace the rear view mirror. Currently it is mounted to a tubing clamp to the roll cage but it is a really kludged looking thing. What have you used on your cars for the center rear view mirror? I am tall so I am a bit limited with options (like Wink mirrors that run across the windshield would be out of the question as it would limit my visibility).

Thanks
Chris

Not seeing what you have,  I have something that mounts to the cage that has worked well for me.   They are no longer available though since the passing of Bill and the closing of B&K manufacturing.
I did have to grind on the clamp some to clear the windshield surround.
Here are a few pictures of it.

I went with the Empi screw mount part number 16-8572.  Just drill and tap the roll cage and mount.  It does not seem to get in my way of vision.
