Source for rear deck lid strut

Post by andygere »

I'm having a hard time sourcing the short hydraulic strut that holds the rear deck lid open for engine access on a Manxter. Does anyone know of a supplier that keeps them in stock? My internet search has come up empty.

Thanks--Andy

Andy,

I have obtained them at RV stores, NAPA auto parts, McMasterCarr.com on the internet.
Sometimes you really need to look to find them.
Do not buy 2 so you have a spare. They seem to go flat while on the shelf.

Thanks Joe, it sounds like I need to take it to a few places like you suggested and just try to match it up.

Winnie had one in stock and shipped it out quickly. $25 plus shipping, reasonable for the quick and easy service.
