Manxter Bumper LED lighting

OK . . .so what are you guys using to light up the Manxter script in the rear bumper?  And, what color?  Red, I assume. Wired to be on with the running lights? Or, just when you hit the brakes?

Bob Hunter used (red) LED lights. In the daytime they are very, very good. But at night they are REALLY bright. Not a bad thing in my mind.

We took the easy way out and used reflective tape, but the safe thing to do would be to use red lights so it would be like a 3rd brake light.  Tom

Another way to do it would be to use a piece of red Lexan or Plexiglass (sic) and use 3M emblem tape to hold in place. Use white LED strip and cover up the back side(front towards engine) with a piece of aluminum form to fit inside of cross piece (to keep light from leaking) and bolted in place. Bob did something like this with his.
It what I plan to do when I find the time for it.

I added a Meyers Manx bumper. I used 1/4 white plexiglass behind the laser cut. I cut 2 strips to run beside the LEDs in the center slot, facing to the rear and then added another backing strip to old it together. I drilled a 3/8 hole behind the mounting bracket and fished the wires up the tube.
