Tow'd gas tank sending unit?

Post by manxvair »

So as I'm looking over the Lori Ann's Tow'd project parts, I noticed there is no provision for a sending unit in the original gas tank, has any body added one? if so any tips.
Thanks

Use a wood dowel.  Mark the gallons with notches on the dowel.

Old school, but it works every time.

Manxvair,

I added a VDO universal sending unit to our Tow'd gas tank, it did however require machining an adapter to weld to the tank.
