Manx Club Antenna Flags!

Post by Scott-Drolet »

Exciting News!  Our flag maker is confident they have come up with a durable Manx Club antenna flag.  Recent clandestine tests conducted on a buggy run from Camarillo to Malibu at breakneck speeds have confirmed their quality.  In fact, the manufacturer is working this weekend to ensure they are available for the Mammoth Lakes run.  This group of flags was sold out at the Calico run earlier this year, then quickly recalled.  For that reason, this new batch is sold out before they even get here.

Not to worry, though, as we can make more!   The only question remaining is: What color should they be?  This poll offers several choices, but choose wisely and quickly because you can only vote once over the next fourteen days.  On the fifteenth day, the order for new flags will be placed. We're waiting for the final quote, but believe the selling price will be in the $25.00 each range.  Here's a picture of the red flag for reference:

Glad to see there will be new flags available. I have a buggy whip that is bare at the moment.

Thanks Scott.

Any chance we can have some made by Manx on the Banx. I know I want one.

Louis - (and others going to this event) I have already made arrangements with Scott to have him ship me some and I will bring them to the event.  There will be other goodies as well.  Tom

I tested the new flag at 75MPH on the Mammoth trip and it holding up find.

No problems with any of coming off of background.

I voted for orange, but red is winning, so with only a few days left to vote it appears red has it.

Vote early, vote often.

Will these eventually be available in different colors, or can they only be made in batches of one color at a time? I'm sure most folks would like to match the color of their buggy if possible.

I have the 20 new flags that Scott sent me to bring to Manx on the Banx for sale at the event.  So far only one is spoken for.  They will be one to a customer unless there are extras left over.  If there are extras left over after that I will send them back to Scott for sale to the rest of the members.  Tom
