Progress report

Post by manxfwin »

After a year and a half, progress is finally being made, thanks to the help of the Manx web site.Since these pic's were taken the pan and engine have been completed and will be fitting the body in a couple of weeks. :drinking: http://www.fwmanxdb.photosite.com/ Besides learning way too much about VW's and the Manx I even figured out how to post some pic's.Life is good!

Tires

Post by Jon »

Dave. The work is great. You're on your way to completion. Side pods look great, like they belong. That's some bright red paint you got there!!!!! Quick question on your tires. Goodrich Radial T/A's Are they on 15" rims? If so what sizes are you running front and back? They look absolutely correct for a FGB.

Dave, I asked you the same questions through a Private Message. Maybe you can post the front and rear sizes (diameter and width). Thanks, Bud

Thanks for the compliments, still alot of time and probably another couple gazillion dollars but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The rims are 5 spoke 5 lug,15"x5" wide (2 7/8" backspace) on the front and 15x10 (3 1/2" backspace) on the rear.Tire sizes are 195/60 on the front and 295/50 on the rear.

Dave, Thanks for the info. One more question, are you using wheel adaptors? Thanks.
