Resizing pictures

How do you resize a picture without distorting it? in trying to resize my avatar picture small enough for it to be accepted it appears blurry.

Mike, email me your picture (actual size) and let me see what I can do with it. If it works I'll post the instructions.

Also having trouble resizing. I tried downloading the photobucket app for iPad but resizing seems to be missing from the app. Regular size pics post ok.

I was able to use "windows paint", already on computer. imported pic, and selected "resize" in tool bar, reduced size till it would fit. saved. Then I was able to select it for posting. Or at least that's what my kid did for me.

I have a Mac, and no windows paint. I tried to resize using the edit feature in photo bucket with no success.

Having to resize photos to such a small size for the avatar is a one shortcoming of this site.

Good morning Ed, we're listening! ;-)

We've increased the maximum avatar size from 80x80 to 120x120. If any of you are having issues resizing your avatar to fit, feel free to email it to forum@manxclub.com and we'll be glad to help.

I was finally able create an avatar at shrinkpictures.com. Everything else I tried made me bang my head against the screen of my iPad.
