Re: Can you identify this guy?
Thanks Guy's!! I'm looking at the yellow "confirmed" Manx over on Bring-a-Trailer right now. It's over by Boise so not too far to bring home on a trailer.

Re: Can you identify this guy?
the hood does not have the center bulge where the manx emblem would mount; so I say not a real manx. I don't want to nag but you can buy a real manx from the manx store. if building a buggy is out of your skill level you could buy the red buggy and swap every mechanical part over to the new manx bo...

Can you identify this guy?
Hello, Guy's & Gal's, I finally got out to look at this little guy in person. It's my friend's, he's in no hurry to sell it but offered it to me for $5K. It's built on a 79' pan, 1600 single port, dual solex(?) carbs, & a race cam. It's really clean. With that said, I'm looking for true Meye...

Re: Carburetion
Thanks Guy's, sorry to be such a newbie at 64, lol. This is a guy that I went to high school with so I trust him. He bought it years ago for $5K and did a bunch of stuff to it. He keeps it in his garage but he needs more room so he's downsizing. He wants $5K, what he paid for it. I forgot to say it ...

Carburetion
I'm looking at a 69' Manx, 1600 single port with dual Solex carbs. He says it runs fine but he has to adjust the carbs if he goes up or down in altitude by 500'. He says it starts to stumble a little bit and is fine with an air/fuel screw adjustment. Is this common or could I change the carbs to fix...

Stupid Question #11,250
Hello, I'm looking at buying a genuine Manx. I've been looking locally and nationwide. Its a learning process I'm finding out. I have a stupid question (again). Where do you look for the Meyers ID tag on the body? And if they say its a Manx but it doesn't have a tag, can it still be a Manx? Thanks f...

Re: Should I buy this beauty?
Wow! Just looked at the selling price on that BaT Manx. $25,250. I can hardly believe that. Hopefully the guy on here will get back to me about his signature he's thinking of selling, number 82 or something like that. This is the fun part, the looking... Mike

Re: Seattle
Nice to hear from buggy owners up here in the NW. I used to ride around in my friends manx back in the late 60's and early 70's. I had a 66 beetle with a hot rod engine. I never stopped loving VW's. I'm actively looking to buy one right now. Have any of you heard about any gatherings or runs in the ...

Re: Should I buy this beauty?
Thanks Lastmanx, there's always THAT to think about, lol. How about I just buy the following. My dream list... Manx Chassis California Condor chassis, built ready to roll Manx Kick-Out body Fat Performance engine with an IRS tranny And all the goodies to go with it. $20K later (or more)? Maybe? I do...
