You have me curious Joe....
How big a hammer is used to drive that orange nail???
Or is that a remnant of the John Henry exhibit you showed us?

Re: NEW REVISION OF MANXCLUB BYLAWS
Mark Purely a guess on my part but I would think thathat the majority of members are online these days. I suspect the percentage would be similar to the numbers of electronic/mail ballots from the recent director election. This IS the club forum so I would think the majority would have the capabilit...

Re: WHEN AND HOW DID YOU GET INTO DUNE BUGGYS ?
Thanks for sharing Michael!
Isn't half the fun of ownership spitting in the eye of another group by doing their thing better than they can? Doesn't seem to matter whether it's autocross, off road, or a twisty road....

Re: WHEN AND HOW DID YOU GET INTO DUNE BUGGYS ?
This topic made me realize what a long and tangled history I have with buggies and VWs...... Phase 1 I don't recall how we found it but when I was 16.....1968.....my non car-guy dad and I picked up a Manx project that had stalled after the body was badly damaged in a shop "incident". The b...

Re: Manx On The Banx 2016 - Official Thread
For those that are inclined to be "early birds" and make their plans and reservations early.... I just spoke to Scott at the Travelodge concerning reservations for the 2017 event. Seems the group rate and block of rooms for the Manx Club will not get arranged til late spring. Bud will post...

Re: Can you identify this guy?
A strange familial name connection..... My dad's older brother and business partner was named Dennis Hill. He is long gone now, as is my dad, but both were instrumental in my interest in "building things", both taught me a lot. They were both Key components of a 17 yr old building a Manx a...

our obligation as club members
A friendly reminder....
Send in your electronic ballots for our club directors!
Or shut up when something happens that doesn't suit you.....
The process is called democracy, something a lot of people in the world can only dream of.
Please don't squander away what has been hard earned.

Re: Manx On The Banx 2016 - Official Thread
I'm shocked that nobody has posted post event.... Despite the delayed start courtesy of Matthew I think I can speak for the group and give Bud and his crew a resounding thumbs up  The modified agenda worked great, jamming in as much as possible of the original plus adding some substitutes like...

The present weather suggests it might take more than your floor boards to keep your feet dry

Re: Transaxle Popping Out of Gear
Your picture reminds me of the helicopter pilot calling back to base when the chopper wouldn't start..
"My copilot thinks it's because it isn't sitting level...
I think it has something to do with being 50' underwater."
Could the water be a factor with your shifter issues?

A week to go...excitement building!
Now if we can get the Buggy Godz to keep the hurricane at bay....
BTW.. ..we're planning to take in Busch Gardens in Williamsburg on Saturday, weather permitting. Been a few years since we were there, gotta test their newer coasters!

Good tip! Trucklite have similar rou d LED headlights but considerably more expensive....almost $300 More! As a resident of a region where DRLs are mandatory I can attest to the.fact that they do make a difference so if you can find them use them. We need more than the great sound to get the attenti...

Re: Tow'd Gas Tank
Thanks for the help Tom but we're out of the tank loop, at least for now. We found another Tow'd after we realized our frame was beyond help. The po had replaced the tank with an aluminum one.
Problem solved!

So Steve...
A year + down the road now, what is the present state of affairs?
Where are you located? Maybe there are knowledgeable members nearby. Tow'd owners from this group are spread coast to coast!
