Amcgee56 - is this what you are looking for? https://simpsonraceproducts.com/pdf/ins ... unting.pdf The only difference I could see from this is that the tunnel on the VW floorpan has the inboard mounts for the lap belts already. Tom

Re: brake fluid question

We had this happen one time on the Manxter. The reservoir was empty but had not gotten air in the system, so all we had to do was fill it back up and it was OK. Try that 1st, if you get lucky, you won't have to bleed it. The leak was the brake light switch which we had replaced a few days earlier an...

Re: Manx In The Middle-Official Thread

It looks like we are really going to make it this year! It was difficult to get the plans together with family health problems and our 2 year old grandaughter living with us, but with some help it is working. Kathleen will have to fly out and back, and I will be driving the "whale" with th...

Re: I got Trouble!!!!!??????

I use a 4' angle iron with holes to match the part to hold the disk/drum and a 4' piece of pipe over a 3/4" breaker bar. I don't get an exact torque, but I try to give it more than they suggest. The same angle iron can have holes for flywheels also. Tom

Re: I got Trouble!!!!!??????

And unless you have a limited slip differential, the car won't move under it's own power. It will act like it is in neutral all the time. We had this happen to us. If you replace the drum/disk brake, use one of these type of nuts http://www.socalautoparts.com/product_info.php/aftermarket-axle-nut-36...

Re: WTB Manx Valve Covers

I know where the molds are, but I am not saying. If the person that has them wishes to comment, fine. I have been in touch with Winnie about a possible way to get them made from billet aluminum, instead of a casting. So, stay tuned, they may be back on the market (or not) soon. Tom

Re: kit car show ?

In addition to "hanging out" at the show in the club tent and checking the other cars and swap meet, we take a cruise on Saturday and try to eat as a group on Friday & Saturday night. The campers have a bonfire Friday & Saturday night also. Always a good time, even when it rains! T...

Manxter Tailights Available Again

CIP1 has Manxter style tailights available again. I know these were hard to get for a awhile. We bought a set and they seem to be "OK" quality. http://www2.cip1.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=ACC-C10-7680&Click=169374&utm_campaign=2017_01_Newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm...

Re: Oil cooler in Manxter vented side pod

We have room for a 14 X 16 X 1 1/2" radiator with fan in Kathtleen's Manxter with vented sidepods, so there should be plenty of room for a oil cooler. I have pictures if you need them, but have not figured out how to post them here since the site changover. Tom
