Re: Carburators at altitude
Before I put the dual Kadrons on Xena's 1600cc, I ran a single Brosal 34 pict 3 carb! I put a 130 main gas jet in it & made sure my 009's timing was set at 30* BTDC @ 3000 rpms!!! It worked real well up at Big Bear & here by the ocean in Ventura & up at Pismo!!! While up at Big Bear, I ...

Re: Flipping the Ring Gear
Hey Gary... it's fairly simple! First drain the transaxle's gear oil! I usually leave the axles (less tubes) connected to the differential (ring gear carrier)! Pull both side-covers of the transaxle & remove the ring gear carrier with the axles still in it! Check bearings on both sides of the r...

Re: how many club members drive offroad or oversand
Like most buggy owners out here in California, we have great variety of terrain to drive on!!! Our buggy "Xena", has been driven 86,000+ miles in the last 16 years & probably 40% has been off road!!! Though we run local streets, blvds & freeways, off road is our favorite, whether ...

Re: 6volt to 12volt starter
In the last 6 months or so, I've bought about 6 of the "auto-stick" starters at O'Reilly's for friends & each time they were $39.99 plus $10.00 core!!! That's a great deal... hope you got a deal too!!!

IMO... your windshield will fit if you turn it around 180*!!! It will just move your whole windshield frame a little bit forward of where it is right now!!! If it radically changes the angle of the windshield, as its angle should be parallel to the rollbar, then pull the glass out & flip it aro...

Re: Mazda Seats
I have found that you will like your seat, regardless of what kind it is, much better if you have the front of the seat about 1" - 1 1/2" higher than the back!!! It won't fatigue your legs & it slightly changes the angle of your back too!!! Xena has 1965 Ford Mustang seats with the fa...

Re: Need Advice on a Frustrating Build
Well... let's see... you need the clutch cable tube, the throttle cable tube & the fuel line!!! IMO... once you get the pan/tunnel squared away, I would remove the bottom of the tunnel so it is easier to get to the tubes!!! Many years ago, a friend purchased someone's "f/g buggy project&qu...

Re: Manx wiring harness options?
I've always made my own wiring harnesses!!! The only pre-made wiring harnesses I've installed were made by Ron Francis Wiring Works!!! They do cost more, but IMO, well worth it!!! F/G buggies do not have complicated electrical needs, other than they need a really efficient ground system!!! Our bugg...
