In B.C., Canada I am paying $629 for a full year. I have it registered as a 1966 Volkswagen Beetle. Body style: Dunebuggy That is with liability only, no collision coverage. I have not had to get it inspected, nor have I been stopped in a police safety check. I have no idea what they will think of m...

The length was very close to what I needed. We cut the end off the Chevette column and found that the shaft was hollow. That worked out great as we had a piece of shafting and the mechanic at work welded the shafting in the hollow end. Used the milling machine to put a groove in shaft for the bolt w...

We got it from pick and pull for $7. Its from a Chevette. It was good for the wiring as it has locking ignition, turn signals and dimmer. Works well.

Here is a picture of my dash support. The sides go down to pan and bolt thru pan. It is very solid. The windshield does not vibrate at all.

Thanks Jerry. I spent some time playing with them last night and found that I could tighten them as you said. I drove buggy to work today and found that the arms will still move, so I am off to get some red loctite. Cheers, Tim

Mirror mounting

I bought 2 mirrors that mount to the windshield from Bugshields but I'm a little confused how to mount them. When I try to tighten the mirror arm, the threads of the arm turn and go thru the 2 piece bracket and will damage the windshield frame. I must be doing something wrong. They came without inst...

It is an aftermarket door made for a Dodge Ram truck. It is made by AMP Research in the USA. I bought it at the Dodge accessories store in Canada called Bling Performance. Cost me $180 but it works nice. Others I looked at for cheaper would not work as well. It was worth it to me. http://www.amp-res...

I ran into the same problem with a ss marine deck cover that I wanted for a fuel filler cover. The package would have been about 6" square and the broker fee was $28. I said no way and sent it back. When I ordered my windshield from Bugshields I used a business service just across the border in...

Wiring question?

I will have my fuse panel under the hood on the firewall. I am wondering about water problems. Is it necessary to keep the fuse panel covered to keep the wiring dry? Is this a good place to put it? I was thinking of using some sort of plastic container with a lid and cutting a couple of holes for wi...

Glasgow

An American businessman in Glasgow walked into a restaurant and asked the waitress what the special was. "Roast and rice," the Scottish miss replied in a heavy brogue. "You certainly do roll your R's," the businessman observed. "I suppose," she giggled, beginning to blu...

Job interview

A company was looking to hire someone for an important position, so they interviewed dozens of applicants and narrowed their search down to three people. In an attempt to pick one of them, they decided to give them all the same question to answer within 24 hours and the one with the best answer woul...
