Re: 74(ish) Linton

Everything looks great. I noticed there was not a ground wire to the fuel sender, I had to run one from one of the screws because my tank isn't grounded anywhere else.

Re: I can feel everything through the steering wheel

What is your tire pressure? What are you using for a isolator between the column and the steering box? The original style isolator (rag joint) is made from what looks like a tire type material. The urethane type, red, yellow, or black are stiff and have a reputation for falling apart at the worst po...

Re: Carburators at altitude

I agree that you should be fine at Big Bear. I am planning on going higher at Ouray/Silverton later this year and got this info from the guys on the RBC site.

So how much is registration? It will be my wife and I, does the $30 cover both of us or is it $60 for the two of us?

Looks like it could be a real Manx to me. Nice project though even if it's a copy.

Re: complete newbie

Post more pictures from every angle, inside and out. Someone will probably know. Also dune buggy archives has a lot of pictures of different types of buggies. Keep asking questions. You'll get plenty of answers. Welcome to the madness.

Re: Led replacement bulbs?

There is also a led replacement for the entire insides of the stock tail lamps. Not sure of the cost. I run led in all of the turn signals and you need a led specific flasher with a ground wire. The parts guys said "oh yea this flasher will work", several didn't. I got mine from Speedway m...

Re: Gas fumes.

I was getting a gas smell when the tank was full. Turned out the screws were leaking at the gas sending unit. I put an o-ring on each screw and it solved the problem. Also my vent line runs down to the front beam with a cheap plastic fuel filer on the end.

Re: Corsair project

2898 2897 Originally I had a spare tire mount built into the buggy. During the build I found a stray Doberman who needed a home.
